A Pokemon journey wouldn't be fun without Pokemon partners to help us along the journey! While a trainer's first Pokemon tends to be from the laboratory in their chosen region, others might be given Pokemon in their youth that they decide to take along with them instead Below explains the ways one can receive the Pokemon, as well each class's unique ways of obtaining them.LAB STARTERS !All lab starters can be given to new and upcoming trainers by posting in the lab board in their chosen region Unlike member generated Pokemon, these starters can have a variety of egg moves as well as the chance to be shiny! Most starters found at the lab are also quite rare and hard to find, so some people might want to come here instead of bringing their own Pokemon!MEMBER GENERATED !
Born For This is currently allowing members to generate their character's first Pokemon here on the site as a way of keeping guests more interested and make the site feel slightly more open world. Currently, all characters (unless specified below) may start with one Pokemon no stronger than level ten (10) that's not shiny and is common/uncommon, or two level 5 Pokemon that are not shiny and are common/uncommon. One egg move is also permitted. Members are expected to specify in their character's history where they got the Pokemon, as it is coming along with them for their journey.WHERE TO GO?TRAINERS !All trainers can receive starters either through their chosen lab in their chosen region (so for Kanto, it's Professor Oak; for Johto, it's Elm, etc) or to a Ranger base in that respective region. Trainers are also currently allowed to choose one (1) Pokemon up to level 10 as their starter that is a common or uncommon Pokemon, but cannot choose both.CO ORDINATORS !All co ordinators can receive starters either through their chosen lab in their chosen region (so for Kanto, it's Professor Oak; for Johto, it's Elm, etc) or to a Ranger base in that respective region. Co ordinators are also currently allowed to choose one (1) Pokemon up to level 10 as their starter that is a common or uncommon Pokemon, but cannot choose both.BREEDERS !All breeders can receive starters either through their chosen lab in their chosen region (so for Kanto, it's Professor Oak; for Johto, it's Elm, etc) or to a Ranger base in that respective region. Breeders are also currently allowed to choose one (1) Pokemon up to level 10 or two (2) Pokemon up to level 5 as their starter that is a common or uncommon Pokemon, but cannot choose both.
